What is a guardian program?
A puppy that is placed in a guardian home is solely owned by Sageland Poodles. The caretaker family provides all of the love and care of the dog while in their home. This allows Sageland Poodles to have more available studs and bitches for potential breeding. Our focus is health and longevity of any puppies we produce. We will never breed the same stud to the same bitch for a repeat litter. Having guardian homes allows us to diversify our gene pool without overloading our home with too many dogs. We are a small hobby breeder and believe each stud or bitch in our program deserves to be “family first”. Having a guardian home allows that dog to be apart of a family but also apart of our program and vision for the standard poodle breed.

Do you remove dewclaws and dock tails?
Sageland Poodles does not alter the physical appearance of any of our puppies for pure cosmetic reasons
———————————————————————
Do you ship your puppies?
We do not ship our puppies. We can help arrange ground transport or an in-cabin flight nanny.

Why are your puppies taxed?
Washington State classifies puppies as “tangible personal property” rather than agricultural livestock. Therefore the buyer is responsible for paying the current tax rate in Washington and the seller is responsible for the retailing taxes with the B&O.
